What to do with extra small breasts

Pinterest

Small Breasts, Little Diddies, Teacup titties.... If you're not exactly 'well-endowed' - you probably know what we're talking about. Here's a bunch of information for all you beautiful small-breasted women. And remember, you're not alone! Just check out this gallery of beautiful celebrities with small breasts.

Extra small bras

In order to wear the right bra, you need to know your bra size. If you're not sure what your bra size is, you can use this calculator to find out - or go to a store like Victoria's Secret and let someone measure you (Don't worry: you don't have to take off your shirt/bra!)But even if you know your bra size, it can be challenging to find the right bra - especially if you have small breasts. A great way to get around this is to shop online.

One of the best websites out there dedicated to small bras is lulalu - this website specializes in petite lingerie, and their slogan is 'small is beautiful.' They specialize in AAA, AA, and A cup bras. A wonderful resource for every woman looking for small-size bras, or men looking for the perfect XS bra gift! :)
Another good source is Linda The Bra Lady - they also have a wide variety in bras, starting at 28AA. I love their bra size chart - which easily lets you shop by your size.  They have a lot of different styles, different colors, and different sizes, plenty itty bitty bras to choose from! :)

If you're looking for a good bra for small breasts, I put together a picture gallery of some of the best bras around for small boobs. Whether you're looking for something you can wear every day, small sport bras, or something a bit more sexy: there's a small bra for every woman!

So, now that you've found your size, and some good shopping sources,

here are some bra-tips for small breasts:

  • Always wear a bra that fits you well - and wear it the right way. Your bra's bottom should be underneath your boobs, and the straps shouldn't be cutting your shoulders - or fall off your shoulders.
  • Try to wear delicate, small bras that don't overwhelm your petite frame.
  • For small boobs, the rule is: the less fabric, the better. Triangle cups and demi cups will look good on your small breasts. Try to avoid anything that covers up your entire chest, it will make you look flatter.
  • Choose bras with thin straps over thick ones.
  • Wear bras with patterns, colors, and a feminine look, like this gorgeous bra designed for petite breasts.
  • When you opt for a push-up bra, make sure you choose one that was especially made for small breasts, like this convertible push up bra from The Little Bra Company.
  • But most importantly: wear a bra that makes you feel comfortable, attractive, and YOU! Remember, confidence = sexy!

And these tips go for a swimsuit/bikini as well!

Tops that enhance small breasts

While some believe that AA stands for 'adorable assets' , owners of AA's and A's might not agree - and wish they could be a little bigger - or even make them look a little bigger! (without surgery) Here are some tips on what tops to wear:

  • Wear tops with horizontal lines, they will make the eye go from left to right
  • Wear tops with pattern / ruffles : they will make your upper body look fuller
  • Wear a lighter color top than the color of your trousers or jeans
  • Wear pretty tops or dresses with spaghetti straps that put attention on your arms
  • Wear elegant,  pretty tops that hug your body and don't overwhelm your frame
  • Wear thick fabrics, they will make your breasts appear fuller
  • Use layers!

How to make small breasts look bigger

There's nothing wrong with having small breasts! In fact, having small breasts is a lot of fun! They won't sag when your thirty, you can work out without a big supportive bra, and you can wear whatever bikini you want!
But sometimes you just want a little more va-va-voom. Now, we can't turn anthills into mountains, but we can definitely give you some tips on how to make your small breasts look bigger (check out this video with fashion tips too).

  • The bra! It's all about the bra. If you have a hard time finding a well fitting bra for your small breasts, give LuLaLu a try - they specialize in small cups!
  • Your clothing! You can easily 'create' more curves visually by wearing the right tops. It's best to wear tops with horizontal stripes instead of vertical ones, for example. Here's a good blog post I wrote with a lot more fashion tips for small breasts.
  • Your mom was right: Stand up straight!
  • If you want to give your boobies a little va-va-voom, try a good push-up or padded bra - they will push your boobies up and create some cleavage. I personally like to keep things 'real' but if you are truly desperate, you can always try a good pair of inserts (you can get them at most retailers) You can choose air or gel inserts - all you do is you insert them in your bra, and voilà: you added a cup size!
  • Wear two bras. Yes, two bras over each other.
  • Cross your bra straps on your back- this will lift your breasts up and create cleavage, and so your breasts will appear larger.
  • Tops that make small breasts look bigger: wear shirts/tops with patterns, ruffles or pockets - they will make your chest look fuller. For more fashion tips, click here.
  • And most importantly: BE CONFIDENT. The best accessory you can have is confidence! You have nothing to be ashamed of, so show off what you've got! Be proud.

Extra small swimsuits/bikini's

Finding well-fitting beachwear can be a challenge if you have small breasts. If you're flat-chested or small-breasted, wearing the right bikini top can make a big difference. Here are some tips for extra small bikini tops:

  • Wear a bikini top/swimsuit with ruffles and other types of decorations, like this bikini from VodaSwim designed especially for small breasts.
  • Wear tops with horizontal stripes (like this one) or nice patterns, they make your bust look fuller.
  • triangle-bikini-top looks great on small breasts! The smaller the triangles, the bigger your breasts look!

this is a great website! And I love the name for AA’s : “Adorable Assets”! Mine are definitely adorable – though tiny! Thanks for all the tips.
Does anyone know a good place to buy small bra’s??? Victoria’s Secret’s are usually too big for me! And sometimes they don’t sell my size (32A)

This is so great! A website for girls with little tits. Until I met my guy, I was considering augmentation. Guys I dated would make jokes about my breasts, 36A. My areolas are especially large (almost 2″-5mm) and my nipples have a swollen look most of the time. Guys and girls would joke about that, too

And then John showed up. We’ve been together many years and he still loves all of me, even my small breasts. Funny thing is my parts “down there” are big!

Jane, you sound like my kind of woman! Small up top and big “down there” is a combination I happen to like quite a bit and I know a lot of other guys do too. I wish our media would quit playing into the stereotype that all guys think the bigger the breasts, the better because it isn’t true! A woman’s (or any person’s, for that matter) personality and character are what matter the most. Just like there are men who like plump, Rubinesque women, there are also men who like petite women. And most guys I know quite dislike the look of implants and the emotional baggage they often represent.

I forgot to mention regarding the comment about the smaller cup sizes. if you go to their page below you’ll see how many sizes they have. they have so many different sizes.

    my favorite ones are:

seriously, there is NOTHING WRONG with small breasts. we’ve been so conditioned with this breast implant craze that you must have big boobs. small breasts are beautiful, not to mention that they don’t sag when you get older!

a great push up bra does the trick without all the expense and pain of breast implants. i honestly think these bras have helped me feel so much more confident because i look so good in clothes now. and when i take them off, they still look great!

don’t get implants! just find a good push up bra! :)

I’ve breastfed all three of my sons for a year each, and the tits do sag now. However, you can get the rest of you in good shape, do some exercises to tighten up your pecs, and start thinking more highly of yourself! A low self-esteem and thinking badly about your breasts will transfer to your boyfriend. If he thinks you like your breasts, he will like them too, especially if the rest of you looks hot. If the rest of you is no good, fat, out of shape, THAT is most likely what you’re sensing. The truth is it’s either 1) he’s an asshole, or 2) you’re imagining it, or 3) there is something else wrong in the relationship. It’s not your loose breasts! Trust me on this.

I don’t mean to sound like an asshole, but maybe you should seek professional help. I very much doubt that your breasts are the root cause of your low self-esteem. They are probably just something for you to focus on to avoid thinking about the true cause. It sounds like either you have problems in your relationship or an emotional disorder. I’m not saying that to be mean, I’m saying it in an effort to help you find and resolve the source of your unhappiness so you can start living a happy life again.

I discovered this website and think it is great!
I am a naturally thin person and have had mixed feelings about my body for most of my life. I like being skinny sometimes, but other times is very frustrating because shopping for clothes can be difficult, people have teased me about my size, and it has made me feel bad about my body. Especially my breasts. I have EXTREMELY small breast (I don’t even fit the smallest bra cup size). I have to wear bras that are x-small or small or sometimes I won’t even wear a bra.

My boyfriend of 4 years thinks I have a sexy body and says my breasts size are not a issue for him. He still thinks I am beautiful. I beleive him, but I don’t see it for myself all the time.

How can I beleive it for myself?

  23. Posted April 6, 2010 at 12:51 am | Permalink

this article really helped! i ALWAYS get made fun of for having small boobs, and it hurts that no one will just except me…Im very very skinny, and always have been so i dont have much shape. But thanks to this article I realize that i really am beatiful and that I shouldnt be ashamed. Now I know that a guy who really loves me wont care about my size. (and all the girls at my school who have big boobs just get used by the guys) now I can learn to be patient with my body and know that small boobs are great :)

Strip clubs disturb me. I have male friends who go regularly and I see their lack of respect for women’s bodies increasing. They talk about women more like objects that they can custom-make to their own liking. Ugh :\

Small breasts are still sexy. Guys and their assumptions on beauty are just superficial as they tend to be. We can choose to be big or small (just wear a gel bra gel braor something) then poof it will change. Don’t wear it will shrunk (so what?!?!). Love your bodies ladies, we rule!

Honey, I got a real eye opener for you.

      1. You’re fiance wants to marry you because he loves you, and it looks like he loves ALL of you.
      2. If you are the “smallest” girl he’s been with and he says he loves your size, believe him.
      3. You are BEAUTIFUL.
      4. Your breast ARE BEAUTIFUL.

When you are at the beach, people are not gonna focus on your breast. Show off your body, don’t ever be ashamed of it. You should never feel obligated to have surgery to enhance your appearance because you’re “afraid of what people think”.

Honestly, I’d be a hypocrite if I said I wasn’t in the same boat as you. I am a 32 A, I am 5’8″, I healthily weigh 100 pounds. All through out high school my peers and some family members reminded me everyday that I look like a tree. It tormented me every dang day. I felt ugly, abnormal, foreign. I started college, stopped hanging out with people that didn’t accept me, and my self esteem has increased.

Lastly, your post has given me the boost I needed to accept my body once and for all. When I go to the beach I am going to wear the cutest bikini that makes me feel beautiful, and I’m going to enjoy myself. I’m going to be stronger.

So, in a way, thank you. I can only hope that what I’ve said can somehow help you in any way.

      - JJ

ive been made fun of at school. sometimes ill hear guys say that they have bigger ones while im walking by. its a horrible feeling and this problem has been overwhelming my life.
my boyfriend says he loves them. but its hard to believe since he has liked many girls who’ve had big ones. i dont think he realizes how big of a problem this is for me….

Apart from the difficulty in finding 34A/36AA bras at all it really annoys me how bra manufacturers assume that I must want to have bigger boobs – I don’t!! I would HATE to have bigger boobs – if anything I’d like them to be even smaller.

I agree with Ellen, it is also really irritating how large breasted models are always used – even for bras aimed at smaller breasted women. When buying online a large breasted model makes it impossible for me to judge how the bra would look on me – if they even make it in my size. The only exception to this is Timpa:

    http://www.herroom.com/Timpa-16449-Duet-Lace-Underwire-Demi-Bra.shtml?cm_vc=0201

I bought one right away! Fingers crossed it will fit once it gets here!

I’m 36 and my breasts are 34a, and I couldn’t be happier with them. When I was young, like most girls I kept waiting for them to grow. But at some point in time, i guess in my mid 20s, I came to accept them. Now I celebrate them!

Sometimes when it’s cold, I’ll wear this tight sweater that makes me look like a pancake. But you know what? I still get lots of attention from men.

I asked my boyfriend whether he especially likes small breasts. He said it didn’t matter to him, one way or the other. He said that what he likes in a woman in self confidence. That’s something I have lots of!

So take heart, girls. Small boobies rule!

That comment made me laugh :) I completely agree with you. I know it’s difficult when some guys seem to be obsessed with large breasts. Many times I’ll be hanging out with my male friends and they’ll make comments about how hot girls’ breasts are, while I’ll be there sitting with my “small and humble” (to quote Shakira) ladies and feeling not that hot. I doubt guys would enjoy if we constantly gushed about other guys’ bodies (and packages) in front of them. My male friends get pissed and insecure simply if a commercial with Taylor Lautner pops up haha….

Some guys are allowed to get away with making girls feel bad about their bodies because we sit there and listen. When I get tired of listening to my friends gush about women on TV with implants, I ask them if all they care about are big breasts. That usually makes them feel bad, or gets a conversation going ;)

That said….not all guys are like that. THANK GOODNESS :) If a guy does tease you about being small though, ask him if he is 12 years old, ’cause he is sure acting like it (immature and inexperienced with women)!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that’s how the saying goes right? There will always be some group of people who loves what you’ve got and another that does not. Why waste your time worring what the second group thinks?

I started losing my hair when I was like 21. Some girls like balding guys, some dont care either way and some wont date a bald guy. My solution, keep out of relationships with those from the third group. Sure deep down theres this stupid feeling that your missing out on something by having no chance with a group of people… but honestly do you want to waste your time with someone that doesnt fit with who you are?

For me personally, around 32b’s is the perfect breast size but I find anything from “nothing but nipples” to around a C to be attractive. (sorry to all you D+’s out there) It all depends on the girl “the ladies” are attached to and what she does with what she has. My wife happens to be a 32a, just one step away from perfect and absolutely beautiful. I have to admit shopping for her lingerie sucks(which is why I’m even here), but when we do find something that suits her body shape and size she looks absolutely stunning.

Also, I dont find padding to be attractive. I’m much happier with my wife’s 32a in a perfectly fitting bra that cups her natural figure than her 32a’s made to look like a 32b’s. Of course try getting her to believe that…..

    Just one guy’s opinion.

i’m 15 years old, soon to be sixteen. and i barely fit into a 32a…it’s embarrassing & all my friends are either a b and up. So i get made fun of quite a bit..i’m extremely conscious of my body..i only weigh about 90 pounds, and i’m 5’1″. i’ve tried everything to get my boobs to look bigger, or grow. and nothing’s working..

As a guy, I just want to tell you girls that small breasts are sexy! Anything from flat to average is fine by me. Basically, the smaller the better. I am not saying this just to cheer you up… I really mean it. I’ve got several friends who feel the same way, so I’m sure there are plenty of other guys around who also like small breasts. I don’t know why it is, but the media etc tends to hype things up and so it seems like guys are obsessed with big ones. But just think about it for a minute, those women with big ones get sniggered at much more, and have to put up with a lot of unwanted attention by all kinds of creeps. There are plenty of disadvantages to having large ones as many here have pointed out.

There are so many different things that add up to making a person attractive. Don’t get caught up with worrying about one thing or another. There will always be someone who is better looking than you, so why not just get over it? Wasting time obsessing about such things will only detract from what is good about you. Also, you would be amazed at the variety of shapes and sizes there are out there. There is actually no such thing as “normal”. When I read comments from women talking about surgery etc it breaks my heart. What a waste! Please don’t do it girls! I know you probably think it’s easy for me to sit here and lecture you, but I know what I am saying is true. Try to have some faith in yourselves, and if anyone tries to make you feel bad about your breasts then it just shows you what jerks they are! At least you will know that you don’t need to waste any time hanging around with those idiots. What would they know? You girls really are hot!

“Living with small breasts” makes it sound like torture or a curse. Hey, SOME of us guys really LOVE small boobs. When I first met my wife I cold tell she sure had a lot of foam in her bra, so much I had no idea of her size.

As we got closer she admitted being shy about her size, and she doubted my being attracted to “little ones.” I respected he wish to postpone making love till after the wedding. When I finally saw her naked I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. I had always admired but never experienced the “itty bitty club,” and a five years later I’m still crazy about her figure.

She had always been so shy about her boobs, but once she got used to my worship and penchant for her chest, her confidence has really grown. She flaunts her perfect, always-perky boobs at me and I’ll forget everything and focus on her chest. We just learned she’s pregnant. We both want children, but I do NOT want to share

Ladies, please don’t hide or go with “store bought.” Get a shelf bra, throw your shoulders back and drive some of us crazy. I guess she has the same amount of nerve endings in a smaller area of flesh, because her breasts are super sensitive. She loves the attention I give them, and I love making her (and them) feel wonderful.

I don’t think it’s all about being small, it’s about getting the correct bra size that fits to your true size!

I always thought I’m a flat chest and the smallest size bra that I think it exists is size 32A and that’s the smallest size available in my country! Though I can see 2 boobies in front of me, I still feel flat and without push ups I don’t feel good. Then I got to found out that I have been wearing the wrong bra size and for all these years. I have been subjecting my boobies a lot of harsh treatment. I got to found out I was actually a 30C/28D, not 32A/B as what I used to get myself with.

This is a big mistake!! 80% of the women population actually didn’t wear the correct bra size!! For God’s sake, all those so call professional lingerie sales person who measured me never get me a correct size because they didn’t carry my true size at all!! Or I should say they don’t make such bra sizes, unless in the UK which is a bra heaven which carries a wide range of sizes. So they pushed me to get a size that’s only available on their racks. Therefore, ladies out there, please correct your perception; get away with the cup size thing. It’s never about the cup sizes, it’s about the fit. Plus a 32A is never the same as 34A as the cup size is relative to the band size. Read here and you will know why: http://www.venusianglow.com/2008/04/bra-matrix.html

To find what’s your true size, visit here:
    http://80bmyth.blogspot.sg/2008/11/bra-fitting-now-even-simpler.html

Once you have found your true size, your very first true bra size should be a soft cup bra without any underwires. This will allow your boobies to re-adjust to their correct sizes. If you think band size 28 don’t exists, you are wrong!! Figleaves.com do carry a wide range of bras to fit you!!

  • [...] My guilty TV pleasure – Katie & Peter: the next chapter – has made uncomfortable viewing recently, as I watched Katie Price undergo more drastic cosmetic procedures.  On a surgery holiday in LA, she had a breast reduction, dental implants and belly button re-shaping.  Apart from the agonising physical trauma, it was distressing to watch as she went under general anaesthetic, asking woozily “Am I normal?”  The feisty businesswoman seemed fragile, insecure and tearful.  Leaving me asking myself:  How can it be worth it?  This endless pursuit of perfection rarely seems to result in happiness, so isn’t it better to accept who we are?  Whether we have the pneumatic assets of Price’s alter ego, Jordan, or a completely flat chest, it is confidence that makes us beautiful.  Which is why Price’s dysmorphic view of herself is the only thing that threatens her image.  For more light-hearted viewing, I found this fun video clip, proving that men love women in all shapes and sizes…Extra small breasts, tea cup titties… lyrical magic [...]
